The Huron at Lakeland., postmarked 1909. This real photo shot of the Huron River in Lakeland looks a lot like the area upstream from Strawberry Lake looking downstream from the railroad bridge. The ruins of the house on the left were still present in 2017.
Strawberry Rapids are at the southwestern exit of Strawberry lake, where the river bends and travels southward towards Gallagher Lake, the next lake downriver in the chain.
