Base Lake Lakeland, Mich., circa 1910’s, probably of the north shore. There are lots of bamboo fishing rods propped up against the tree and by the lamp post on shore.

South Side, Base Lake, Mich., postmarked 1919. The sender of this postcard writes that she wants to share a view of the cottages where she stayed on vacation. Her return address is Hamburg, Michigan. In this shot you can see a 1919 version of the waterfront boat canopies used today.
