Pinckney Postcards

Old Swimming Hole Pinckney Mich, postmarked 1912. The stone bridge from the previous two views is visible down Honey Creek. The old swimming hole was made by the dam, which may be just past the wood walking bridge on this side of the stone bridge. This may be the site of what is now known as the Mill Pond., the Mill perhaps shown on the left side of the creek.

Pinckney Creek Below Dam., postmarked 1908. There are no leaves on the trees, so this view is probably early spring, with some snow remnants in the background. A lot more water flows from the village below the same stone bridge as in previous views.

Note that the photographer of this card chose to write his caption up the trunk of a tree in the middle of the washing creek, which was also known locally as Pinckney Creek.
