Forest Lawn Cemetery is the oldest cemetery in Dexter, located near the Mill Pond on Grand Street. Judge Dexter, founder of the village, donated the land on which the cemetery is located. Many early settlers of the Dexter area are buried here, among them, Samuel Dexter and his second wife, and Calvin Fillmore, brother of President Millard Fillmore.
