Dexter Postcards

Dexter, Mich., postmarked 1948. Coming closer to the business district, the 1940’s view shows a Sinclair gas station on the right of Ann Arbor Street.

Dexter, Mich., postmarked 1907. In a very early real photo postcard, coming closer to the center of town, the park is on the right, and what may be the old mill is barely visible on the far left. The small building visible just past the line of trees in the park was at the time of the photo Walker’s Bakery. The building straight ahead with the horse and buggy in front is inscribed just under the conical roof design, “A Bates.”
