Dexter Postcards

Main Street View. Dexter, Mich., postmarked 1916. In a hand colored postcard showing the view from Monument Park into the central business district of Dexter, you can see several of the business in operation during the period. The Stebbins House, a meat market next to it on the south side of the street; Walker’s Bakery, a place that sells ice cream and lunches on the north side are all visible.

The Stebbins House, owned and operated by the Stebbins family, was a hotel and restaurant built to house railway passengers.
