Pinckney Postcards
This Picture was taken on Sunday, ???, postmarked 1905. Although this view is a very early photograph of Pinckney, there are already utility poles serving the businesses.
Main Street, Pinckney, Mich., circa early 1900’s. A color lithograph postcard shows Main Street in Pinckney, looking from east to west. Hitching posts are all along the front of the stores, and there is no sign of electricity or phone poles. The only readable signs on the storefronts are “Pinckney Dispatch” on the first low building, and “Monk Bros” in the middle of the block.
