Pinckney Postcards
Main St. Pinckney Mich., postmarked 1912. The summer day on this card was a busy day in Pinckney. Two wagons are parked in front of the buildings, one with two young boys standing next to dad. Two young girls are walking down the walk next to the building, one by herself with an ice cream in hand.
Masonic Block, Pinckney, Mich., circa 1920’s. Though the automobile has arrived in Pinckney, as shown in this view looking east on Main Street, the horse and wagon is still coming to town, parked at the end of the section of cars.
An awning over the walk says, “F. D. Groceries and ??, and a sign next to it says, “Ice Cream Soda.”
